KPS successfully completes analysis of North Sea field production data

KPS has successfully completed an analysis of production data from the Montrose field in the North Sea using their patented Oilfield Data Analyser software product.

Since its release two years ago the KPS Oilfield Data Analyser has been applied to a range of assets ranging in size from 10 to 60 wells and 2,000 bbls/day to 50,000 bbls of produced oil. The software automatically identifies well interference patterns by analysing historic field production and measurement data.

Successful results have been achieved for fields with the latest downhole instrumentation and those where the more usual daily or monthly production data is available. Results from an analysis typically provide an improved understanding of reservoir characteristics enabling improved accuracy of reservoir simulation models and more effective water injection.
