KPS presents at IMechE/ISPE seminar on Intelligent Process Control
March 2009
KPS presented a paper entitled 'Technology for Turning Data into Knowledge' at the recent evening seminar, hosted jointly by the North West centres of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. The seminar discussed the direction of modern process control and its fusion of PAT (FDA's Process Analytical Technology initiative), multi-variant analysis software and real-time optimisation, enabling better process understanding, driving performance improvements, reducing costs and resulting in significant increases in overall efficiency and profitability.
The KPS paper was jointly presented with Hosokawa Micron and included case studies from joint work carried out by the two companies in the powder processing industry. Attendees were from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and process industry sectors.
